Microsoft Project Monument
During my time at the Splendid Unlimited Design Agency in London, I was the lead visual designer for a WIRED.co.uk magazine & Microsoft IE microsite collaboration named “The Wired Mind”
The purpose of the site was to show off the capabilities and speed of Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 by pushing the limits of what was possible in HTML5/CSS3. The concept of the microsite was to take the history of all articles available online via the wired.co.uk RSS feed, but to offer an alternative way to browse and navigate their content.
We created the idea of an animated mind/brain with clouds of tags available to deep dive into topics/dates of interest. The mind would serve up small summaries that users could click to read the full original article on the main site.
